Michael is the owner and chief practitioner at Osteopathy In Toronto. He is a graduate of the five-year plus thesis program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) in Toronto and a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO) which is recognized by all insurers.
Michael’s gentle method of treatment is completely based on Biodynamic Osteopathy. He has been pursuing post-graduate studies with the developer of Biodynamic Osteopathy, James Jealous DO (Oregon US) for over 10 years, as well as other senior instructors including Donald Hankinson DO (Maine US), and Cathy Eydt DOMP (Barrie CA). He has completed the entire 9 course adult series, the entire 3 course paediatric series, and many other related courses.
Michael has extensive experience treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. His practice includes adults and seniors, and he has had specialized training in the care of babies, children, and issues related to pregnancy. His treatment facilitates the body’s natural healing capabilities which helps clients find a new point of balance for their health and well-being. He has a special interest in posture, movement, and how we relate to our body.
Michael’s education includes a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Pre-Med, with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. This led to a career designing and developing medical equipment where he holds numerous patents. He has been a student of the mind-body connection for over 35 years and is a certified instructor in both Tai Chi and Qigong. He has a deep interest in spirituality and meditation, and has actively studied Buddhism and Taoism. His other interests include classical music, science and technology, and rescue dogs.
This very gentle and highly effective form of treatment is taught only after completing a rigorous undergraduate education, and requires spending considerable time and effort to complete the post-graduate instruction. We do this to offer the very highest level of osteopathic care available.
